Tarot Studies is an educational and creative resource devoted to learning Tarot, exploring its history and symbolism, developing reading skills, and encouraging thoughtful personal reflection.
The information, interpretations, exercises, resources, illustrations, and other materials provided on Tarot Studies are intended to support learning and exploration. Tarot is a rich and varied practice with multiple traditions, systems, philosophies, and approaches. The material presented here may reflect a combination of research, established Tarot traditions, interpretation, personal experience, and ongoing study.
By using this website, you acknowledge and agree to the following.
1. Educational, Reflective & Creative Purposes
Tarot Studies provides content primarily for educational, reflective, and creative purposes.
Tarot can be approached in many ways, including study, personal reflection, journaling, creative exploration, storytelling, spiritual practice, and divination. Some content may also be enjoyed simply for entertainment.
The interpretations and exercises presented on Tarot Studies are intended to encourage curiosity, observation, reflection, and the development of your own understanding of the cards.
Tarot interpretations are not absolute predictions or guarantees of future events. No interpretation presented here should be treated as the only possible meaning of a card, symbol, spread, or combination.
Different Tarot systems, traditions, authors, readers, and decks may approach the same material differently. Those differences are part of what makes Tarot such a rich field of study.
2. Tarot Is Not Professional Advice
Tarot Studies does not provide medical, mental health, psychological, legal, financial, investment, or other licensed professional advice.
Tarot readings, exercises, journal prompts, articles, spreads, and other resources should not be used as substitutes for qualified professional care or advice.
If you are dealing with a medical, mental health, legal, financial, safety, or other serious concern, seek assistance from an appropriately qualified professional.
You remain responsible for determining when professional guidance is appropriate.
3. No Guarantees or Predictions
Tarot is interpretive by nature.
Tarot Studies does not guarantee specific results, outcomes, predictions, manifestations, or future events based on Tarot readings, spreads, exercises, rituals, interpretations, or other content provided on this site.
A Tarot reading can offer a framework for considering a question, recognizing patterns, examining possibilities, or reflecting on a situation. It should not be treated as certainty about what will happen.
Your circumstances, decisions, relationships, actions, and many other factors can influence outcomes in ways that Tarot cannot predict or control.
4. Research, Interpretation & Accuracy
Tarot Studies brings together several different kinds of information, and I believe it is important not to treat them as though they are all the same.
Content may include:
- documented historical or factual information;
- established Tarot traditions and systems;
- symbolic, astrological, numerological, psychological, spiritual, or esoteric interpretations;
- interpretations offered by Tarot authors, artists, scholars, and practitioners;
- my own observations, experiences, interpretations, and reflections.
I make reasonable efforts to research and accurately represent factual information, particularly when discussing Tarot history, the Rider-Waite-Smith system, symbolism, artists, authors, correspondences, and related subjects.
However, Tarot Studies is also a continuing learning project. New research may become available. Sources may disagree. Interpretive traditions evolve. My own understanding may deepen or change as I continue studying.
Older material may therefore be revisited, corrected, expanded, reorganized, or revised.
When appropriate, I work to distinguish documented information from Tarot tradition, interpretation, and personal experience rather than presenting all four as established fact.
Even with careful research and review, errors or omissions may occur. If I discover a meaningful error, my goal is to correct it rather than preserve it simply because it has already been published.
Readers are encouraged to explore multiple sources and traditions, especially when studying Tarot history, esoteric correspondences, symbolism, astrology, numerology, psychology, or other subjects that extend beyond the cards themselves.
5. Personal Responsibility
You are responsible for how you interpret and apply information from Tarot Studies.
Tarot can encourage reflection, but it should not remove your judgment or decision-making from the process.
Nothing on this website should be interpreted as an instruction to surrender personal responsibility to a Tarot card, reading, interpretation, intuitive impression, spiritual belief, or another person.
Use your judgment. Ask questions. Research when something matters. Seek qualified help when a situation requires expertise beyond Tarot.
Ultimately, decisions about your life remain yours.
6. Emotional Reflection, Shadow Work & Sensitive Topics
Some Tarot Studies content may explore difficult emotions, personal experiences, shadow work, grief, relationships, fear, uncertainty, identity, change, or other emotionally complex subjects.
These resources are intended for education and personal reflection. They are not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis intervention.
Tarot can provide language and imagery for exploring difficult experiences, but it is not a replacement for professional mental health support when that support is needed.
You are encouraged to approach reflective exercises at your own pace and to stop or step away from an exercise if it is not helpful to you.
7. AI-Assisted Content & Creative Process
Artificial intelligence is one of the tools used in the development of Tarot Studies.
AI may assist with brainstorming, research organization, writing and editing, SEO, content planning, website organization, illustration development, workflow management, and other parts of the creative and editorial process.
AI output is not automatically treated as accurate, authoritative, complete, or ready for publication.
AI can misunderstand instructions, lose context, introduce inaccuracies, and generate unsupported or incorrect information. AI-assisted illustrations can also contain inaccurate Tarot symbolism, object counts, orientations, text, or other visual details.
For these reasons, AI-assisted material is subject to human review, revision, research, correction, and editorial judgment.
AI does not determine my personal experiences, Tarot philosophy, final interpretations, editorial decisions, or whether something is considered complete or approved.
For a fuller and much more candid explanation of the role AI plays in the research, writing, learning, illustration, and creative process behind this website, please see How Tarot Studies Uses AI.
8. External Sources, Links & Recommendations
Tarot Studies may reference or link to books, websites, articles, research, Tarot decks, creators, organizations, products, services, or other third-party resources.
Links and recommendations are provided for reference, education, convenience, or further exploration.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Tarot Studies does not control third-party websites, products, services, policies, availability, accuracy, or content.
A link, citation, recommendation, or reference does not necessarily mean that I endorse every opinion, claim, practice, product, or piece of content associated with that source.
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, and practices.
9. Products, Recommendations & Affiliate Relationships
Tarot Studies may recommend Tarot decks, books, tools, resources, websites, or other products and services that I believe may be useful or relevant to readers.
A recommendation does not necessarily mean that Tarot Studies receives compensation from the creator, publisher, retailer, or service.
If Tarot Studies uses affiliate links, sponsored content, or enters into another compensated relationship, that relationship will be disclosed where appropriate.
Compensation does not guarantee a positive review or recommendation.
Readers are encouraged to make purchasing decisions based on their own needs, preferences, research, and judgment.

Tarot Studies is committed to making its educational resources increasingly accessible to a broad range of readers and users. Information about those efforts, known limitations, and ways to report accessibility concerns can be found in the Accessibility Statement.
Because technologies, services, and accessibility practices change over time, these policies may also be revised as Tarot Studies evolves.
