Welcome to Tarot Studies.

These Terms of Use explain the conditions that apply when you visit TarotStudies.blog, use Tarot Studies educational materials, download resources, purchase products, schedule a Tarot reading, participate in Monthly Study Mentorship or Between the Cards, or use another service offered through Tarot Studies.

By using Tarot Studies or purchasing or participating in one of its products or services, you agree to these Terms of Use and any additional terms presented with a particular offering.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the applicable product, resource, or service.

1. About Tarot Studies

Tarot Studies is an educational and creative platform devoted to learning Tarot through history, symbolism, imagery, traditional meanings, observation, interpretation, intuition, reflection, and practice.

The site may include:

Tarot articles and educational lessons;
Rider-Waite-Smith and other Tarot studies;
card meanings and symbolism;
Tarot spreads and exercises;
Daily Tarot Pulls;
Tarot Talk and other creative features;
challenges and guided study activities;
printable and downloadable resources;
digital educational products;
personalized Tarot readings;
Monthly Study Mentorship;
Between the Cards;
workshops, courses, appointments, or other educational offerings; and
additional Tarot-related resources and services as Tarot Studies develops.

Some resources are freely available. Others may require payment, scheduling, enrollment, registration, or agreement to additional terms.

2. Tarot Is a Learning Practice, Not a Promise

Tarot Studies approaches Tarot as a system that can be studied, practiced, interpreted, and explored.

Tarot has a long and complicated history, and interpretations have developed through different decks, traditions, authors, artists, readers, and systems. There may be more than one reasonable way to understand a card, symbol, combination, or spread.

Tarot Studies may discuss documented history, established traditions, interpretations from other Tarot scholars and practitioners, and my own observations and developing understanding. Where appropriate, I try to distinguish among them.

The educational material provided through Tarot Studies is not intended to establish one interpretation as the only correct way to read Tarot.

My own Tarot practice developed through study, experimentation, journaling, observation, reflection, and plenty of moments when the cards made very little sense at first. That ongoing learning process is part of the philosophy behind Tarot Studies.

3. Educational and Reflective Purposes

Tarot Studies content and services are provided primarily for educational, creative, interpretive, and reflective purposes.

Tarot readings and Tarot-related materials are not substitutes for professional medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, financial, investment, or other licensed professional advice.

Tarot Studies does not guarantee that a Tarot reading will predict a particular event or outcome.

You remain responsible for your decisions and actions, including decisions made after using Tarot Studies content or receiving a Tarot reading.

When a situation requires professional expertise, please consult an appropriately qualified professional.

4. Who May Use Tarot Studies

The general educational content on TarotStudies.blog is intended for a broad audience interested in Tarot.

Tarot Studies is not directed toward children under 13.

Individual paid or personalized services may establish additional age requirements. Any such requirements will be identified with the applicable service.

A person purchasing a product or service must have the legal ability to enter into the transaction or have appropriate authorization where required.

5. Respectful and Appropriate Use

You are welcome to explore Tarot Studies, learn from its resources, and incorporate what you learn into your own Tarot practice.

You may not use Tarot Studies to:

interfere with or damage the website;
circumvent payment or access restrictions;
distribute malware, spam, or harmful material;
impersonate another person;
intentionally provide fraudulent information;
scrape or systematically collect substantial amounts of site content;
violate another person’s intellectual-property or privacy rights;
harass or threaten another participant or Tarot Studies; or
engage in unlawful activity.

Access to a service may be declined or discontinued when use becomes abusive, fraudulent, unsafe, seriously disruptive, or inconsistent with these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

Tarot Studies contains original writing, educational frameworks, exercises, spreads, layouts, branding, illustrations, graphics, downloads, and other creative materials.

Unless otherwise stated, protectable original Tarot Studies material is owned by Misti Hight / Tarot Studies or is used with appropriate permission.

Tarot Studies also discusses Tarot decks, books, artwork, historical material, trademarks, authors, publishers, and other works belonging to third parties.

Those materials remain the property of their respective creators and rights holders.

Discussion, review, criticism, education, or reference to another creator’s work does not mean Tarot Studies owns that work.

7. Sharing Tarot Studies Content

You are welcome to share links to publicly available Tarot Studies articles and pages.

Reasonable portions of written material may also be quoted for commentary, discussion, reference, or educational purposes when appropriate credit and a link to the original Tarot Studies source are provided.

Unless you have permission or a particular resource provides a broader license, you may not:

republish complete Tarot Studies articles;
reproduce substantial portions of articles as substitute content;
redistribute downloads;
sell Tarot Studies materials;
remove branding, attribution, or watermarks;
upload resources to file-sharing collections or repositories;
reproduce illustrations for commercial use;
incorporate Tarot Studies material into another commercial product, course, book, database, or membership;
represent Tarot Studies material as your own; or
distribute purchased materials to people who have not purchased or otherwise been granted access to them.

Please contact Tarot Studies about classroom, group, publication, commercial, or other uses beyond the permission accompanying a resource.

8. Downloads and Digital Products

Tarot Studies may offer printable worksheets, reference sheets, spreads, journals, guides, templates, educational materials, illustrations, courses, or other digital resources.

Unless a resource provides a different license, purchased or downloaded materials are intended for individual personal and educational use.

You may generally save and print those materials for your own use.

A resource may occasionally include different permissions, such as educator, classroom, group, membership, or commercial-use rights. When a resource includes its own license, those specific terms control use of that resource.

Purchasing a digital resource does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

9. AI-Assisted Content and Creative Work

Artificial intelligence is part of the working process behind Tarot Studies.

AI may assist with brainstorming, research organization, writing development, editing, SEO, website management, illustration development, content planning, workflow organization, and other creative or administrative tasks.

AI assistance does not mean content simply moves from a generated response directly onto Tarot Studies.

AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, overly generic, or simply wrong. Generated illustrations can also get symbolism, orientation, anatomy, text, card details, or established visual elements wrong. The work may require repeated prompting, research, correction, rewriting, redesigning, and human review before it becomes part of Tarot Studies.

That process reflects the larger philosophy behind Tarot Studies itself: learning develops through experience, observation, experimentation, and reflection rather than merely receiving an answer. That same approach is visible throughout the site’s educational material.

The copyright status of individual AI-assisted or AI-generated elements may vary according to the nature of the work and applicable law. These Terms do not claim rights that the law does not provide.

10. Automated Collection and AI Training

Unless expressly permitted in writing, Tarot Studies content may not be systematically scraped, harvested, reproduced, or compiled for:

training or fine-tuning artificial-intelligence systems;
building machine-learning datasets;
creating automated content databases;
mass reproduction of Tarot Studies materials; or
producing derivative commercial content at scale.

This provision is not intended to prohibit ordinary search-engine indexing, accessibility technology, or other uses authorized by applicable law.

11. Purchases and Paid Services

Tarot Studies may charge for digital products, readings, mentorship, appointments, educational services, or other offerings.

The price and primary features of an offering will be presented before purchase.

By purchasing a product or service, you agree to:

provide reasonably accurate information;
pay the displayed price;
follow service-specific terms presented before purchase; and
use purchased resources according to the applicable license.

Prices, availability, and future offerings may change.

A price change does not retroactively change the amount charged for a completed purchase.

12. Scheduling Through TidyCal

Tarot Studies plans to use TidyCal to schedule readings, mentorship sessions, Between the Cards appointments, and other bookable services.

You are responsible for checking the appointment date, time, and time zone before confirming a booking.

An appointment is not considered confirmed until the applicable scheduling and payment process has been completed and confirmation has been issued.

TidyCal is an independent third-party service and has its own terms and privacy practices.

13. Payments Through PayPal

Tarot Studies plans to use PayPal to process payments.

Financial information entered into PayPal is processed by PayPal under its own terms and privacy practices.

Tarot Studies does not intentionally receive or store complete credit-card numbers, bank-account numbers, or PayPal login credentials through ordinary PayPal transactions.

Tarot Studies may receive information necessary to confirm and administer the transaction, maintain business records, provide a refund, or address a payment issue.

14. Personalized Tarot Readings

Tarot Studies may offer personalized Tarot readings.

A Tarot reading is an interpretive and reflective service. Different readers may reasonably interpret the same cards differently, and no particular interpretation or outcome is guaranteed.

The reading may draw upon traditional meanings, symbolism, relationships between cards, context, observation, and intuitive interpretation.

You remain responsible for deciding how, or whether, to act upon the information discussed during a reading.

Tarot Studies may decline or redirect a question when it:

requires medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice;
raises significant ethical concerns;
asks for information that Tarot cannot reasonably or responsibly provide;
focuses inappropriately on private information about another person; or
otherwise falls outside the intended scope of the service.

Please provide only enough personal information to give reasonable context to your question.

15. Monthly Study Mentorship

Monthly Study Mentorship is intended as an educational relationship for developing a participant’s Tarot practice.

Depending on the offering, mentorship may include:

individual sessions;
study planning;
interpretation feedback;
discussion of cards and spreads;
practice assignments;
educational resources;
review of work;
study recommendations; and
other individualized guidance.

Mentorship is collaborative.

I can teach, discuss, question, recommend, demonstrate, review, and provide feedback. The participant still has to study and work with the cards.

Tarot Studies does not guarantee a particular level of proficiency, intuitive development, professional qualification, certification, business result, or other outcome.

Monthly fees may cover more than the scheduled session itself. They may also reflect preparation, planning, feedback, resources, communication, and continuity throughout the mentorship period.

16. Between the Cards

Tarot Studies may offer Between the Cards as another personalized Tarot Studies experience.

Its final structure, price, duration, included features, scheduling arrangements, and participation requirements will be provided with the offering.

Because Between the Cards is still being developed, its structure may change before future enrollment or purchase periods.

Changes to future versions do not remove specific services already purchased and promised to an existing participant, except when reasonably necessary because of circumstances outside Tarot Studies’ control or by mutual agreement.

If Between the Cards develops recurring membership, subscription, community, or other features requiring additional terms, those terms will be provided before enrollment.

17. Appointment Rescheduling

Schedules change. Whenever reasonably possible, I would rather help you move an appointment than lose the opportunity to work together.

Unless a particular service states otherwise, scheduled one-on-one appointments may generally be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

When TidyCal provides a rescheduling link, please use that option whenever possible.

Requests made less than 24 hours before an appointment may be accommodated at my discretion based on availability and circumstances.

Repeated last-minute rescheduling may require a new booking.

18. Cancellations and No-Shows

Appointments cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be eligible for a refund under the applicable service terms.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment are generally nonrefundable because the appointment time has been reserved and preparation may already have begun.

If you do not attend an appointment and do not provide notice, the appointment will generally be treated as completed for scheduling and refund purposes.

Tarot Studies does not currently intend to charge an additional no-show fee.

Genuine emergencies happen. Reasonable exceptions may be made at my discretion when circumstances warrant them.

An exception in one situation does not permanently change the policy for future appointments.

19. If Tarot Studies Cancels an Appointment

If I need to cancel an appointment, I will make reasonable efforts to arrange another suitable time.

If we cannot find an appropriate replacement appointment, you may request a refund for the affected service.

If Tarot Studies cannot provide a material portion of a prepaid ongoing service, an appropriate rescheduling arrangement, credit, or prorated refund may be offered.

20. Refunds for Personalized Services

Refund eligibility depends partly on whether work on the service has already begun.

A scheduled reading or other personalized service cancelled at least 24 hours in advance may be eligible for a refund.

Once substantial preparation has begun, or after the personalized service has been delivered, payment is generally nonrefundable unless Tarot Studies cannot provide the purchased service or applicable law requires otherwise.

This recognizes that personalized work can begin before the scheduled conversation itself.

21. Monthly Study Mentorship Cancellations

Monthly Study Mentorship is an ongoing educational service rather than simply the purchase of a single appointment.

Individual mentorship sessions may generally be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Missed sessions or sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice generally do not create an automatic refund.

Mentorship sessions are intended to be used during the applicable mentorship period and are not designed to accumulate indefinitely.

When reasonably possible, a properly rescheduled session may be completed during the same mentorship period or within a reasonable grace period agreed upon by Tarot Studies and the participant.

Cancellation of mentorship stops future participation or renewal according to the terms presented with the offering. A mentorship period that has already begun is generally nonrefundable once services for that period have started.

If Tarot Studies cannot provide a material portion of a prepaid mentorship period, an appropriate rescheduling arrangement, credit, or prorated refund may be offered.

22. Between the Cards Cancellations and Refunds

Because the final format of Between the Cards is still being developed, its cancellation, renewal, rescheduling, and refund terms will be presented with the offering.

Those service-specific terms will supplement these Terms of Use.

23. Digital Product Refunds

Because digital products can generally be accessed immediately and cannot meaningfully be “returned,” digital downloads and immediately accessible digital resources are generally nonrefundable after delivery or access.

Please contact Tarot Studies if:

the file is defective or unusable;
you received the wrong product;
you were charged more than once;
you cannot access a product you legitimately purchased; or
another significant technical problem prevents reasonable use.

Depending on the circumstances, Tarot Studies may provide technical assistance, a replacement file, correction, refund, or another appropriate resolution.

Nothing in this policy limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

24. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method.

Tarot Studies may initiate the refund, but the amount of time required for it to appear in your account may depend on PayPal, your bank, card issuer, or other financial institution.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or more than once, please contact Tarot Studies so the transaction can be reviewed.

25. Subscriptions and Communications

Visitors may choose to subscribe to Tarot Studies using available WordPress.com or Jetpack features.

You may unsubscribe using the controls provided with those communications.

Purchasing or participating in a Tarot Studies service may also require administrative communications concerning your purchase, appointment, mentorship, resource, or service.

Those service-related communications are separate from optional blog subscriptions or promotional communications.

Personal information associated with these interactions is handled according to the Tarot Studies Privacy Policy.

26. User Accounts

Tarot Studies does not currently provide general public account registration through TarotStudies.blog.

Certain WordPress features may interact with an existing WordPress.com account.

If Tarot Studies later introduces memberships, customer accounts, community accounts, student portals, or another registration system, additional terms may apply.

27. Third-Party Services

Tarot Studies relies on third-party technology to operate the website and provide certain services.

Depending on the feature, these providers may include WordPress.com, Automattic, Jetpack, Akismet, Imagify, Jetpack Boost, TidyCal, PayPal, AI-assisted tools, and other providers identified in the Privacy Policy.

Tarot Studies does not control the independent operation, security, availability, terms, or privacy practices of those services.

Your direct use of a third-party service is also subject to that provider’s terms.

28. External Links and Recommendations

Tarot Studies may link to Tarot decks, books, authors, artists, publishers, retailers, research, videos, websites, social platforms, or other external resources.

A link does not mean Tarot Studies controls or assumes responsibility for the external website.

Recommendations represent an educational or editorial judgment at the time they are made. They are not guarantees that a particular deck, book, product, creator, or service will be appropriate for every reader.

29. Affiliate and Sponsored Content

Tarot Studies may eventually use affiliate links, sponsorships, complimentary review products, or other compensated relationships.

When a material relationship exists, it will be disclosed where appropriate.

Compensation does not guarantee favorable coverage.

A reader is never required to purchase something simply because Tarot Studies discusses or recommends it.

30. Accuracy, Corrections and an Evolving Body of Work

Tarot Studies is a growing educational project.

Research develops. Interpretations deepen. Articles get revised. Occasionally I discover that something I wrote two years ago needs another look.

Tarot Studies may therefore correct, expand, reorganize, update, or remove material when appropriate.

Reasonable care is taken with research and educational content, but Tarot Studies cannot guarantee that every page will always be completely free from errors or omissions.

This is particularly important with historical and symbolic material, where claims sometimes get repeated throughout Tarot literature until repetition begins masquerading as evidence.

Corrections are part of responsible study, not something Tarot Studies attempts to hide.

31. Website and Service Availability

Tarot Studies does not guarantee that every article, download, service, feature, or third-party integration will remain permanently available.

Content and services may be revised, replaced, discontinued, reorganized, or temporarily unavailable.

Reasonable efforts will be made to honor products and services already purchased.

32. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tarot Studies and its website content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Reasonable care is taken in research, editing, site management, resource creation, and service delivery, but Tarot Studies cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, compatibility with every device or system, or a particular result from using its content or services.

No guarantee is made that Tarot Studies will produce a particular educational, spiritual, personal, professional, business, financial, or other outcome.

33. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tarot Studies and its owner are not responsible for losses arising solely from:

personal decisions based on a Tarot interpretation;
using educational material outside its intended purpose;
expecting a Tarot reading to guarantee an outcome;
failures or interruptions involving independent third-party services;
temporary website interruptions;
unauthorized misuse of Tarot Studies materials by another person; or
outcomes outside Tarot Studies’ reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

34. Privacy

Use of Tarot Studies is also governed by the Tarot Studies Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, retained, and processed through TarotStudies.blog and services such as readings, mentorship, Between the Cards, scheduling, payments, subscriptions, and applicable third-party technology.

Please review it before providing personal information or purchasing a personalized service.

Tarot Studies is committed to improving access to its educational content and services.

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from accessing a purchased resource or participating in a service, please contact Tarot Studies so a reasonable solution can be explored where possible.

36. Changes to These Terms

Tarot Studies will continue to evolve, and these Terms may need to evolve with it.

These Terms may be updated when products, services, technology, business practices, or applicable requirements materially change.

The Last Updated date at the beginning of this page identifies the current version.

Changes generally apply from the date the revised Terms are published unless otherwise stated or required by law.

A later change will not ordinarily remove a specific product or service already purchased under previously agreed terms.
