Between the Cards Membership

Between the Cards Membership

Keep learning after the card is drawn.

Tarot understanding does not arrive all at once. It grows in the space between readings—when you return to a symbol, reconsider an interpretation, test what you have learned, and begin recognizing the patterns that once slipped past you.

Between the Cards is a monthly Tarot study membership for developing readers who want continued practice, thoughtful resources, and a little structure without turning Tarot into another assignment they are already behind on.

Explore the cards at your own pace, strengthen your reading process, and build a practice that feels more connected, confident, and genuinely yours.

The Membership

What is Between the Cards?

Between the Cards is a monthly study space designed to help you stay connected to Tarot beyond the occasional reading, saved article, or burst of inspiration.

Each month offers a focused place to explore the cards more deeply, practice what you are learning, and notice how symbolism and meaning develop through continued attention. The goal is not to memorize all 78 cards as quickly as possible. It is to build a relationship with the deck that becomes more familiar, flexible, and personal over time.

01

A Rhythm for Continued Study

Tarot can be difficult to learn when every study session begins with deciding what to study. A monthly focus gives your practice a starting point while leaving room for curiosity, reflection, and your own reading style.

02

Space to Practice

Understanding grows through use. Between the Cards encourages you to work with the cards, explore different interpretations, and apply what you learn instead of collecting information you never have time to revisit.

03

Support Without Pressure

You can follow the monthly material at your own pace. There is no need to keep up perfectly or turn every prompt into homework. The membership provides direction and continued connection while leaving you in charge of how Tarot fits into your life.

This is not about racing through the deck. It is about noticing what becomes visible when you stay with the cards a little longer.

Inside Each Month

What members receive each month

Each month, Between the Cards gives you a focused collection of lessons and activities built around one central Tarot theme. The pieces are designed to work together, but you can choose what fits your interests, available time, and current level of experience.

01 · Focus

A Monthly Study Theme

A clear topic gives the month direction. Themes may explore a card, symbol, suit, reading skill, interpretive pattern, or question that deserves more than a quick definition.

02 · Learn

An In-Depth Tarot Lesson

Explore the month’s focus through traditional meanings, Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism, intuitive interpretation, and practical examples that show how the ideas appear in an actual reading.

03 · Apply

A Guided Tarot Spread

Use a purposefully designed spread to apply the monthly theme to your own cards, questions, and experiences.

04 · Keep

A Printable Study Resource

Build your personal Tarot reference collection with a study sheet, worksheet, quick-reference guide, or journaling page connected to the month’s focus.

05 · Reflect

Reflection and Journal Prompts

Move beyond memorized keywords with prompts that help you examine symbols, compare interpretations, and notice your personal responses to the cards.

06 · Practice

A Practice Invitation

Try a manageable exercise that brings the lesson off the page and into your Tarot practice. It might involve a card comparison, daily observation, reading experiment, or creative exploration.

07 · Notice

A Symbol Spotlight

Take a closer look at one meaningful visual symbol connected to the monthly theme. Explore where it appears in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, how its meaning shifts between cards, and what it may contribute to a reading.

08 · Connect

A Worked Reading Example

See the monthly concept applied step by step through a sample Tarot reading. Follow how the question, individual cards, visible symbols, card relationships, and overall story come together to form a clear interpretation.

One monthly focus—several ways to explore it

You do not have to complete every activity for the membership to be useful. Begin with the lesson, choose the resource that catches your attention, or go directly to the cards. The material is there to support your practice—not measure your productivity.

Study what calls to you. Save what you want to revisit. Let the rest wait until you are ready.

Is This for You?

Who is Between the Cards for?

Between the Cards is for readers who want to understand Tarot more deeply but need a practical way to keep learning after the initial excitement of a new book, course, or deck has faded.

A mature Tarot reader revisits the same flower card through three study moments, moving from uncertainty to recognition beside an open journal and fountain pen.

You Are Learning the Foundations

You are still becoming familiar with the cards and want more than a list of keywords. You would like help understanding why a card carries its traditional meanings and how its symbols work together.

You Know the Cards but Still Second-Guess Yourself

You recognize many of the cards, but combining them into a clear interpretation can feel uncertain. You want practice noticing patterns, relationships, and the story unfolding across a spread.

You Want More Structure in Your Practice

You enjoy studying Tarot but often spend your available time deciding what to work on. A monthly focus would help you begin without locking you into a rigid schedule.

You Prefer Learning at Your Own Pace

You want meaningful guidance without another live meeting, deadline, or course calendar. You appreciate being able to pause, revisit material, and follow the parts that speak most strongly to you.

You Want to Move Beyond Memorization

You are ready to explore symbolism, mood, context, intuition, and card relationships—not simply collect more upright and reversed keywords.

You Are Returning to Tarot

Your cards have been sitting untouched for a while, and you want a welcoming way back into your practice without feeling as though you must begin again from the very beginning.

You do not need to be an expert

You do not need an expensive deck, a perfectly organized journal, or hours of uninterrupted study time. Bring the deck you already use, whatever experience you have, and a willingness to remain curious.

You are not behind. You are simply meeting the cards from where you are now.

An Example Collection

A sample month inside Between the Cards

Every monthly collection begins with one central idea and develops it through several connected ways of learning. Here is an example of what one month might look like.

Monthly Theme

Reading the Story Between the Cards

A Tarot spread is more than several individual meanings placed beside one another. This month explores how cards respond to each other through shared symbols, contrasting moods, repeated elements, figure direction, and the movement created across the spread.

The In-Depth Lesson

From Separate Keywords to a Connected Reading

Learn how to move from interpreting each card individually to recognizing the larger story. The lesson examines visual connections, elemental relationships, repeated symbols, changes in energy, and the clues that reveal which card may be leading the conversation.

Three illustrated Tarot figures turn toward one another across connected landscapes, with repeated flowers, directional arrows, and an open comparison journal below.
The Guided Spread

The Conversation Between the Cards

A three-card spread for practicing card relationships:

  1. What speaks first?
  2. What supports, challenges, or changes the message?
  3. What becomes visible when the cards are read together?
The Printable Resource

Card Connection Study Sheet

Use a guided worksheet to record individual meanings, shared symbols, visual directions, emotional shifts, elemental patterns, and the final story created by the spread.

Reflection Prompts
  • What detail repeats across more than one card?
  • Where does the mood of the spread change?
  • Are the figures moving toward or away from one another?
  • Which card seems to speak the loudest?
  • What becomes clearer when you stop reading the cards separately?
The Practice Invitation

Change One Card, Change the Conversation

Create a three-card spread, then replace only the middle card. Notice how that single change affects the relationship, tone, and direction of the reading.

The Symbol Spotlight

Where the Figures Are Looking

Explore how a figure’s gaze can connect or separate cards, redirect attention, and reveal where energy is moving within a spread.

The Worked Reading Example

A Three-Card Conversation in Practice

Follow a sample reading from the opening question through the individual cards, repeated visual clues, changing energy, and the final connected interpretation.

One theme, one connected study experience

The lesson introduces the idea. The spread lets you explore it. The printable helps you observe what is happening. The prompts deepen your reflection, and the practice invitation gives you a reason to return to the cards.

You can move through the complete collection or choose the piece that feels most useful that month.

Before You Join

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior Tarot experience?

No. Between the Cards is designed to support beginners, developing readers, and returning readers. The lessons explain traditional meanings and Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism while also helping you practice interpretation, card relationships, and intuitive observation.

Do I need to use a Rider-Waite-Smith deck?

The membership is grounded primarily in the Rider-Waite-Smith system because its imagery provides a shared symbolic foundation. You may still use another deck, especially if it follows or adapts Rider-Waite-Smith structure. Comparing how different decks portray the same idea can also become part of your study.

How will I know when a new collection is available?

You will receive an email notice introducing the monthly focus and directing you to the members-only WordPress page.

There is no required amount of study time. You may work through the complete collection, choose one activity, or save the material for later. The membership is designed to support your practice without creating another deadline.

Does the membership include live meetings?

No regular live meetings are required. Between the Cards is a self-guided membership created for readers who prefer to study on their own schedule.

Does Membership include private Tarot readings or one-on-one feedback?

No. Private readings and individualized study guidance are separate services. If you want personalized support shaped around your goals and questions, Monthly Study Mentorship may be the better fit.
